Description
Your day begins with a convenient pick-up from your centrally located Port of Spain hotel. After a brief introduction with your experienced guide and driver, you will set out along the North Coast Road. The route offers views of the Caribbean coast and rainforest, including a stop at Maracas Lookout.
Arrive at Maracas Bay, a popular beach lined with palm trees, before continuing along Trinidad’s northern coast. Pass forested mountains and beaches on your way to Avocat Waterfall, known for its 30-meter (100-foot) cascade and large swimming pools.
The tour includes a moderate hike through the rainforest and walking along a flat riverbed to reach the falls. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the waterfall before relaxing in the natural pools.
On the return trip, stop at Las Cuevas Bay and the Marianne River lagoon in Blanchisseuse for a swim. Additional stops at Las Cuevas or Maracas Bay allow you to sample local snacks like the crispy shark sandwich. The tour concludes with transportation back to your hotel in Port of Spain.
