Maracas: Day Trip to Maracas Beach from Port of Spain
12 ReviewsDiscover the popular Maracas Beach, drive along the scenic North Coast. Stop at Maracas Lookout for the stunning views and local snacks.
A truly great place to view wildlife, the Pointe-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust is tucked away in San Fernando in a Petrtrin oil refinery.
There is a vast collection of bird species here, as well as plenty of snakes for those that prefer cold blooded animals. It is monumentally important to support this nature trust as it provides essential care for the animals as well as the surrounding area. Visitors are also treated to a stunning location with many photographic opportunities and exotic animals to capture, all against a back drop to die for.
Birdwatchers couldn't ask for more here with an extremely diverse range of species including the waterfowl, muscovy duck and the beautiful white peacock.
All the guides here are very knowledgeable and passionate, ready and willing to answer any questions you might have while on the tour as well as teaching you the importance of sustaining the habitat of these wonderful creatures.
