Also known as 'The Queen's Park' and known locally as 'Savannah', Santa Rosa Park is the only location in Trinidad and Tobago that offers horse racing. So betters and horse aficionados alike; you know where to come!
Established in 1853 when the first grandstand was erected (though ad-hoc horse races occurred here as early as 1828), Santa Rosa has become renowned as one of the best horse racing venues in the entire Caribbean region.
Many famous riders from all over the globe (e.g. Thirkell of England) have competed here, and the whole venue emits a grandeur associated with the colonial epoch. So don your gladrags and head on down!
