The Trinidad Country Club is a place steeped in history. More than just a place to relax or indulge in some sports, the area is full of colonial stories and strange ironies. The super exclusive club was built originally for a French family through a government scheme to encourage settlers to come to the island. Since then the property has been owned by many people who have kept the club just as (quite controversially at times) exclusive.
The historical country club has played host to many stars throughout the years, including famous musicians and models. There is plenty to do here with tennis courts, a dining hall and plenty of space to host lavish conferences, weddings or events. The Trinidad Country Club is a relic from the colonial era that is well worth a visit if just to see the iconic and enormous tree in front of the club.
